Customer dashboard
Updated October 30, 2026
Set up the customer account page, and see what customers find in its Purchases, Downloads and Licenses tabs and on their purchase receipt.
The account page
When you activate TierMint, it creates an Account page with a Purchase Confirmation block and an Account Dashboard block, and selects it in Account page under TierMint → Settings → General. TierMint uses that setting for the Your account link on the login form and to send customers there after they sign in. Add the page to your site menu like any other page.
To build your own account page:
- Create a page and insert the Account page pattern from the TierMint pattern category, or add the Account Dashboard block or
[tiermint_account_dashboard]. - Publish the page.
- Pick it in Account page under TierMint → Settings → General, and click Save changes.
The account pieces are also blocks and shortcodes of their own: Account Dashboard, License Manager, Downloads List and Purchase Confirmation. The blocks and patterns page and the shortcode reference list their settings.
What customers see
A signed-in customer sees "Hi," and their name with their avatar, then the Purchases, Downloads and Licenses tabs. When the dashboard is 48rem (768 px at the default font size) wide or more, the tabs sit in a column beside the panel. In a narrower space they sit above it, as in this screenshot.

A visitor who is not signed in sees "Please log in to view your account." and the TierMint login form. The customer accounts and login page explains the form.
The tabs fill from a customer record linked to the signed-in user. TierMint links one when a user checks out while signed in, or when they register or sign in with an email address that has already placed an order. A signed-in user with no customer record yet, such as someone who registered and has not bought anything, sees the dashboard with their name and empty tabs.
The standalone license manager and downloads list show a prompt to a visitor who is not signed in. The license manager says "Please log in to view and manage your licenses." with a Log in link, and a Create an account link when registration is open. The downloads list says "Please log in to view your downloads." with a Log in link.
A tab with nothing in it says so: "You have no purchases yet.", "You have no downloads yet." or "You do not have any licenses yet. Your license keys will appear here after your first purchase."
The tabs follow the WAI-ARIA tabs pattern, so the arrow keys, Home and End move between them. Without JavaScript, all panels show one below the other.
TierMint Pro can add more tabs, such as Invoices, Team and Offline activation for team and offline licenses, and Affiliate. The seats of a team license do not show in the Licenses or Downloads tabs. The buyer manages them in the Team tab. While Pro is off, each seat shows in the Licenses tab and in the Updates section of the Downloads tab, like any other license.
The Purchases tab
The tab lists up to 20 of the customer's orders, newest first. Each order shows its number (such as #123), date, items with their quantities, total and status: Completed or Partially refunded. Pending, failed, abandoned and fully refunded orders do not appear.
The Downloads tab
The tab has two parts. Each shows only when it has something in it.
- The files attached to the products in each completed or partially refunded order, listed under the product name. The link text is the file's label, or its file name. A bundle lists the files of each product in it.
- An Updates section. For each license that is active and not expired, it shows the product, "Version" and the number of its latest published release, and a Download update link. Turn it off with the block's Show available updates setting.

Download links work for six hours after the page loads. Each link checks the order and the license again when it is opened, so a refund or a disabled license stops a link that was already on the page. To get fresh links, reload the page.
The Licenses tab
Each license gets a card with:
- the product name and a status badge: Active, Expired or Disabled
- the License key, unless the block's Show license key setting is off
- Expires, with the date, or Lifetime
- Active sites, the number in use against the limit, such as "1 / 5" or "0 / unlimited"
- the activated sites, each with a Deactivate button, unless the block's Show site activations setting is off

Sites on local or staging addresses are listed but do not use up the limit. These are localhost, addresses ending in .test, .local or .dev, addresses starting with staging. or dev., and private or reserved IP addresses. That is why the second card lists two sites and reads "1 / 5". The license keys page covers activation limits.
Activate a site
A card shows the Activate a new site form when its license is active, has not expired and has a free slot.
- Enter the site's full address, such as
https://example.com. - Click Activate.
The page reloads and lists the new site. If the activation fails, the page shows the reason, such as "This license key has reached its activation limit (5 sites)." The form uses the same POST /license/activate route as the licensing REST API.
Deactivate a site
Click Deactivate next to the site. The site leaves the list and the count updates, without a reload. Deactivating works on expired and disabled licenses too, so a customer can always free a slot.
Activating and deactivating need JavaScript. Without it, the tab shows "Managing your site activations requires JavaScript. Please enable it to activate or deactivate sites." The keys, status and expiry still show.
The purchase receipt
The Purchase Confirmation block shows the receipt when the page address has ?tiermint_order= followed by the order code, a 36-character UUID. A numeric order id does not work. Without a valid code, the block shows nothing on the live page.
Payment adds that parameter. After paying, Stripe sends the buyer back to the checkout page with ?tiermint_order= and the order code in the address. The Checkout page TierMint creates has a Purchase Confirmation block above the checkout, so the receipt appears there straight away. If you built your own checkout page, add a Purchase Confirmation block or [tiermint_purchase_confirmation] above the checkout. The Account page has one too, so a receipt link to the account page with the parameter also works.
The receipt shows the order number and date, a table of items with quantity and total, the order total, and, unless turned off, Your license keys and Your downloads.

What the block shows depends on the order:
| Order | What the buyer sees |
|---|---|
| Completed or partially refunded | The full receipt. |
| Payment still being confirmed | "We are processing your payment. This page will update automatically once it is confirmed." The page checks every two seconds for about a minute and reloads when the order completes. Without JavaScript, the buyer is asked to refresh the page. |
| Payment failed | "Your payment has not completed. If you retried the payment or your bank is still confirming it, this page will update automatically." |
| Fully refunded | "Order #123 was refunded." with no keys or links. |
| Well-formed code that matches no order | "We could not find that order." |
An order that belongs to a WordPress account shows only to that account. Anyone else sees "Please sign in to view this order." with a Sign in link. So a customer who paid while signed out, or in another browser, may need to sign in first. A guest order shows to anyone who has the link. The order code in the link is the only key, so share the link only with the buyer.
Common questions
Why is a customer's purchase missing from their account?
The order was most likely placed as a guest with another email address. A purchase made while signed in goes to the account. A guest order goes to a customer record for its email address, and TierMint links that record to a WordPress user only when the user registers or signs in with the same email. Ask the customer to sign in before buying, or compare the order's email with their account email in the admin.
Why is the Licenses tab empty when the customer bought something?
TierMint creates license keys only for products with Licensed product turned on in the product editor. The products page explains the setting. Also check that the account page's dashboard does not have Show licenses turned off.
Why can't a customer activate a new site?
Look at the card's status badge first. An expired or disabled license shows no activate form. If the license is active, check Active sites: at "3 / 3" the customer must deactivate a site before adding another.
Why did a download link stop working?
Links work for six hours after the page loads. Reload the page to get fresh links. A refund or a disabled license also stops a link.
Why does the receipt not show after a purchase?
Check the address for ?tiermint_order=. If it is there, the checkout page probably has no Purchase Confirmation block. Add one above the checkout. The purchase receipt explains where the buyer lands.
