Product SEO fields

Updated October 13, 2026

Set the page title and the share description for each product page, in place of the product name and overview. This needs TierMint Pro.

Where to find the fields

  1. Open TierMint → Products and open a product, or click New product.
  2. In the main box, below Name and the permalink, find the SEO panel. It sits under the Content panel, above the Pricing and Releases tabs.
  3. Fill in SEO title and Meta description, then save the product.

The SEO panel in the product editor with the SEO title and Meta description fields filled in

Field What it does
SEO title The title search engines and browser tabs show for the product page. Leave it empty to use the product name.
Meta description The summary shown when the product page is shared. Leave it empty to use the product's overview, or its full description when there is no overview.

Both fields are plain text, and TierMint strips any HTML from them. The SEO title is one line, and the meta description is a short paragraph. Neither field has a length limit or a character counter.

The fields need no setup. TierMint Pro adds them to the product editor in the same way the free plugin adds its content and media fields, described in Add your own product fields.

What the fields change on the product page

The fields apply to the product details page, the page TierMint shows for a single product.

Field Where TierMint uses it
SEO title The page's <title>, followed by a hyphen and your site name, as in SEO title - Site name. Also the og:title tag.
Meta description The og:description tag, which social networks show when the page is shared.

When a field is empty, the page keeps TierMint's own value: the product name for the title, and the overview or full description for the description.

Set the fields through the REST API

The values live in the product's settings object, as seo_title and seo_meta_description. Read and write them with the products routes of the REST API, the same way as the free content and media fields. These routes need management authentication and the manage_tiermint capability, as Management API keys explains.

Send PUT /wp-json/tiermint/v1/products/{id} with this body:

{
  "settings": {
    "seo_title": "Orbit Forms: form builder for WordPress",
    "seo_meta_description": "Build forms, take payments and export entries."
  }
}

If you deactivate TierMint Pro

The values stay saved in the product settings. The SEO panel leaves the product editor, and the product page goes back to the product name and overview until you activate Pro again.
