Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. About us
DrPlugin is a product brand operated by Virtueplanet Services LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India ("Virtueplanet", "we", "us", or "our").
Our registered address is:
Virtueplanet Services LLP, 3, Dr. Girindra Sekhar Bose Road, Flat-1B, Block-1, Signum Gardenia, Kolkata 700039, West Bengal, India.
For product, account, and billing support, contact Email address, shown when JavaScript runs. For legal notices, contact Email address, shown when JavaScript runs.
In these terms:
- "site" means drplugin.com and its related customer and support areas;
- "software" means a WordPress plugin, WooCommerce extension, Joomla extension, template, or other downloadable software product that we provide;
- "commercial services" means access to official downloads, licence-key services, updates, and technical support; and
- "subscription" or "licence term" means the period during which the commercial services attached to an order remain active.
2. When these terms apply
These terms govern your account, purchases, commercial services, and use of the site. By creating an account, placing an order, or using a commercial service, you agree to these terms. If you act for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy also apply.
The software itself is licensed under the GNU General Public License as explained below. These terms do not replace or reduce the rights granted by that licence.
3. Software licence and copyright
Our software is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or, at your option, any later version (GPL-2.0-or-later). A copy of the applicable licence is included with each product. You can also read the GNU General Public License version 2.
The GPL governs your rights to use, study, modify, copy, and distribute GPL-covered software. If these terms conflict with the GPL for any GPL-covered material, the GPL controls.
Copyright in the original DrPlugin code and other original works remains with Virtueplanet Services LLP. Copyright notices identify ownership. The GPL grants permissions under copyright, but it does not transfer copyright ownership to you.
A product may contain third-party components. Their copyright notices and compatible open-source licences remain applicable to those components.
4. What your payment covers
Your payment covers commercial services for the plan and term shown at checkout. During an active term, and subject to the site limit of your plan, you receive:
- access to official product downloads from your DrPlugin account;
- access to official updates through our download and update services;
- use of a DrPlugin licence key for the number of sites included in your plan; and
- technical support for the covered product.
The site limit controls our commercial services. It does not alter the GPL licence attached to a copy of the software.
When the term ends, the copy already installed on your site may continue to work. Official downloads, licence-key services, updates, and technical support stop until you renew or buy a new term. We do not guarantee that an old version will remain compatible with later versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, Joomla, PHP, browsers, hosting software, or third-party services.
5. Accounts and licence keys
You must provide accurate account and billing information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping your password and licence keys secure. Contact Email address, shown when JavaScript runs promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your account and licence key are personal to you or your organisation. You must not sell, transfer, publish, or share account access or a licence key. You may use the software for a client site when your plan covers that site, but you must not give the client your account credentials or use one site slot for unrelated sites beyond the plan limit.
Anyone who obtains a licence key may be able to register or remove domains. We may suspend a key that is exposed, abused, used fraudulently, or used beyond its service entitlement. We may issue a replacement key where appropriate.
6. GPL distribution and DrPlugin services
The GPL governs distribution of GPL-covered software. Nothing in these terms imposes an additional restriction on an activity that the GPL permits.
Virtueplanet does not promote third-party redistribution of official DrPlugin releases. This commercial position does not add a restriction to the rights granted for GPL-covered software.
If you distribute a copy or a modified version, you are responsible for complying with the GPL, including its requirements concerning copyright notices, licence notices, source code, and the licensing of derivative works. Distribution does not include any right to:
- use a DrPlugin account or licence key belonging to someone else;
- provide recipients with DrPlugin downloads, updates, support, warranties, or other commercial services;
- represent a copy or modified version as an official, approved, supported, or current DrPlugin release;
- use the DrPlugin name, logo, product branding, website content, or other trademarks as branding for your own product or service; or
- suggest that Virtueplanet sponsors, endorses, or is responsible for your distribution.
We do not authorise redistribution of licence keys, account access, non-GPL website material, or DrPlugin branding. Copyright and trademark law remain applicable separately from the GPL.
7. Updates and support
Updates and technical support are available only during an active subscription or licence term.
Support covers installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of the covered DrPlugin product on a supported environment. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, support does not include custom development, administration of your server or website, training, data recovery, or diagnosis of third-party code and services.
We aim to respond within a reasonable time, but no service level agreement or fixed response time applies unless we agree one with you in writing.
We may add, change, or remove product features and may stop supporting obsolete platform or PHP versions. We will not knowingly reduce an active customer's paid term without a valid legal, security, payment, or abuse-related reason.
8. Your responsibilities
Before installing or updating software, you must:
- check the published platform, PHP, and other requirements;
- test the change on a staging site where practical;
- keep a current backup of your site, files, and database; and
- make sure that you have authority to install the software and process any data used by it.
You are responsible for your website, hosting, configuration, content, legal compliance, and third-party products. You must not use the site, our update service, or support channels to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, gain unauthorised access, interfere with a service, evade technical limits, or abuse or threaten another person.
9. Prices, payments, and renewals
Orders billed in India do not renew automatically. Each such order is a one-year payment, and you renew it by placing a new order, as set out in section 9.4. Orders billed outside India renew automatically until you cancel, as set out in section 9.3. The price, currency, billing period, taxes, and renewal terms are shown before you place an order.
9.1 Seller and payment processor
Virtueplanet Services LLP is the seller for every order placed through the site. Stripe processes the payment for us. You enter your payment details and billing address on Stripe's secure checkout page, and we issue the invoice for the order.
9.2 Currency and tax
If your billing country is India, you pay in Indian rupees, and we add goods and services tax (GST) at the rate shown at checkout. Your tax invoice shows the GST as central and state tax (CGST and SGST) or as integrated tax (IGST), according to your billing state. Where you give us a GSTIN, it appears on the invoice. An order billed in India is a one-year payment by card and does not renew automatically (see section 9.4).
If your billing country is outside India, you pay in US dollars. We supply these services as exports from India under a Letter of Undertaking, so we do not charge Indian GST, and we do not add any other tax. You remain responsible for any tax that your own country requires you to account for on the purchase, such as reverse-charge VAT.
Your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion or cross-border fees. Those fees are not part of our price.
9.3 Automatic renewal (orders billed outside India)
A subscription for an order billed outside India renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Stripe charges the payment method on file at each renewal. A renewal is charged at the full price of your plan in US dollars. A discount applied to your first term does not apply to renewals unless checkout states otherwise. If we change the renewal price of an active subscription, we will notify you before you are charged the new price. We email you 30 days and 7 days before each renewal.
You can cancel from your DrPlugin account at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not shorten or refund the term already paid for, and access to the commercial services continues until that term ends.
If a renewal payment fails, we will email you. Stripe usually retries the payment over the following days. If the renewal is still unpaid when the retry period ends, the subscription ends and the commercial services stop.
If your subscription ends without a refund and you later buy the same plan again, your licence key and registered sites stay the same.
9.4 Orders billed in India
Orders billed in India do not renew automatically. Each order is a one-year payment for the plan and term shown at checkout, and we take no further payment unless you place a new order.
We email you 30 days and 7 days before your licence term ends, and again when it ends.
While the plan is still offered, you can renew at any time by placing a new order for the same plan. If you renew before your term ends, the new year is added to your current end date, so you do not lose the time that remains. If you renew after your term has ended, the new year starts on the day you pay. Your licence key and registered sites stay the same, unless the licence was ended by a refund. A licence ended by a refund cannot be renewed, and a new order for it comes with a new licence key.
If the plan is no longer offered, you can buy a plan that is offered on the product page instead. That order comes with a new licence key.
A renewal is charged at the price of the plan on the day you renew, less any discount shown at checkout, converted to Indian rupees at that day's exchange rate, together with GST.
9.5 Cards issued in India
An order billed outside India is charged in US dollars, and it must be paid with a card issued outside India. Our payment processor does not accept a card issued in India for a payment in a currency other than Indian rupees, so such a payment is declined at checkout.
If you pay with a card issued in India, choose India as your billing country. Your order is then charged in Indian rupees together with GST, and it is a one-year payment that does not renew automatically, as set out in sections 9.2 and 9.4.
9.6 Upgrades
During a term you can move to a higher plan for the same product. The higher plan applies once the upgrade payment succeeds.
For a subscription that renews automatically, we charge the prorated difference for the rest of the current billing period at the time of the upgrade, and later renewals are charged at the higher plan's price. An upgrade is not available in the last few hours before a renewal.
For an order billed in India, we charge the prorated difference for the time left until your licence term ends, together with GST, and the end date of your term does not change. An upgrade is not available in the last few hours before your licence term ends.
Moving to a lower plan during a term is not available. When your current term ends, you can buy the lower plan instead. For a subscription that renews automatically, cancel it first.
9.7 General payment terms
We do not receive or store your full card number, card security code, or bank credentials. Stripe handles those details.
If a payment fails, is reversed, is refunded, or is subject to a chargeback, we may suspend the associated commercial services while the matter is resolved. You remain responsible for taxes, bank charges, currency conversion charges, and other amounts that your bank or payment provider imposes on you.
10. Refunds and cancellation
Our Refund Policy provides a 14-day contractual refund period and explains how to make a request. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
Cancelling an automatically renewing subscription (an order billed outside India) stops the next renewal. It does not itself refund the current term. An order billed in India does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. If a refund is issued, access to commercial services for that order ends and the related licence key may be disabled. A refund does not retroactively withdraw rights already granted under the GPL for a copy that you lawfully received.
11. Reviews, support material, and feedback
You retain ownership of material you submit, such as a review, support message, or attachment. You give us a non-exclusive right to host, copy, and use that material only as needed to provide the service, respond to you, protect the service, and, for a review you choose to publish, display it on the site.
Do not send passwords, private keys, full payment-card details, or material that you have no right to share. You may remove a review where the account tools permit, or ask us to remove it.
If you send a suggestion or general feedback, we may use the idea without payment or obligation to you. This does not give us ownership of your pre-existing code or confidential material.
12. Intellectual property and trademarks
The DrPlugin name, logo, visual identity, product names, site, documentation, and other brand material are owned by Virtueplanet Services LLP or its licensors. DrPlugin is used as a trademark. Registration may be pending in one or more countries. No trademark licence is granted except through our express written permission.
You may make a truthful, limited reference to a DrPlugin product where the law permits, but you must not use our name or logo in a way that suggests origin, affiliation, sponsorship, certification, or endorsement.
13. WordPress, WooCommerce, and Joomla notices
WordPress and the WordPress logos are trademarks of the WordPress Foundation. DrPlugin and Virtueplanet Services LLP are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the WordPress Foundation, WordPress.org, Automattic Inc., or the WordPress open-source project.
WooCommerce and its associated designs are trademarks of Automattic Inc. DrPlugin products described as compatible with WooCommerce are independently developed and are not endorsed or supported by Automattic Inc. or WooCommerce.
This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Joomla! Project. It is not supported or warranted by the Joomla! Project or Open Source Matters, Inc. The Joomla! name and logo are used under a limited license granted by Open Source Matters, Inc., the trademark holder in the United States and other countries.
Virtueplanet Services LLP and the products and services provided through this site are also independent of the Joomla! Project and Open Source Matters, Inc., which do not endorse, support, or warrant them.
Compatibility references identify the platform with which a product is designed to work. They do not make the platform owner responsible for our product.
14. Third-party platforms and services
Our software runs within platforms and hosting environments that we do not control. It may also interact with third-party APIs and services. Their terms, privacy policies, availability, and changes are outside our control.
We are not responsible for a failure caused by an unsupported or changed third-party product, an incompatible extension or theme, your hosting environment, your modification, or your failure to follow the documentation. This does not limit responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Warranties
We will provide the commercial services with reasonable care and skill. Except for this commitment and any right that cannot lawfully be excluded, the site, software, updates, and support are provided "as is" and "as available".
We do not promise that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, suitable for every purpose, compatible with every environment, or immune from changes made by another provider. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Nothing in these terms excludes a mandatory warranty or consumer guarantee.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, anticipated savings, or data; and
- our total liability arising from a product, order, or commercial service is limited to the amount paid for that product or service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, deliberate misconduct, breach of confidentiality, infringement of intellectual property rights, or any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not reduce any remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate account access, a licence key, or commercial services where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, non-payment, a security risk, abuse, unlawful activity, or a material breach of these terms. Where the issue can reasonably be corrected, we will normally explain it and allow a reasonable opportunity to correct it.
You may stop using the site at any time and may cancel an automatically renewing subscription (an order billed outside India) before its next renewal.
Termination ends the affected commercial services. It does not alter GPL rights in copies already lawfully received. Sections concerning ownership, trademarks, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and general terms survive termination where their nature requires it.
18. Changes to products and these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our products, services, payment arrangements, law, or security requirements. The date at the top identifies the current version.
If a change materially affects an active paid term, we will give reasonable notice by email or through the site. A change will not retrospectively remove a right already earned for a completed purchase.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any non-contractual dispute connected with them are governed by the laws of India.
Before starting formal proceedings, please send the details of the dispute to Email address, shown when JavaScript runs. The parties will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
Subject to any mandatory consumer forum or other jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded, the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
20. General terms
These terms and the policies incorporated into them form the entire agreement about the site, an order, and the related commercial services. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver.
You may not transfer your account or commercial-service entitlement without our written consent. We may transfer this agreement as part of a merger, reorganisation, or sale of our business, subject to applicable law and notice where required.
We are not responsible for delay caused by an event outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to reduce its effect.
