Refund Policy

1. Our 14-day refund period

You may request a refund within 14 calendar days after the date of an initial purchase or renewal made through drplugin.com. For an order billed outside India, a renewal is the automatic renewal of your subscription. For an order billed in India, which does not renew automatically, a renewal is a new payment that you make to extend your licence.

This contractual refund policy is in addition to any mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or consumer right that applies to you. Nothing in this policy limits a right that cannot lawfully be limited.

2. How to request a refund

Sign in to your DrPlugin account and use the refund option shown for the eligible order. If that option is unavailable, email Email address, shown when JavaScript runs from the address used for the order.

Include the order number and a short description of the request. You do not need to provide a reason to use the 14-day refund period, although a reason can help us improve the product.

The refund option in your account covers an initial purchase and a renewal. To request a refund of an upgrade charge, email Email address, shown when JavaScript runs. For an order billed in India that a later renewal or upgrade of the same licence has followed, the refund option is not shown, because a refund would also end the time paid for by the later payment; email us instead. Some requests are reviewed by us before the refund is issued.

We may ask for information reasonably needed to identify the order, verify that you control the account, prevent fraud, or meet payment-provider and legal requirements.

3. What the refund covers

An approved refund normally covers the full amount charged for the affected product or renewal. We do not provide a partial refund for unused time after the 14-day period merely because you stop using the product or cancel renewal.

If an order contains separately priced products or services, a refund can be limited to the affected item. A statutory remedy or a written commitment from us can provide a different result.

4. When a refund may be refused

After the 14-day period, a refund is available only where required by law or approved by us in writing.

Within the 14-day period, we may refuse or delay a contractual refund where there is credible evidence of fraud, payment abuse, a duplicate refund, an abusive chargeback, or a material breach of our Terms of Service. Any refusal remains subject to mandatory consumer law and the payment provider's legal duties.

Downloading the software or opening a support ticket does not, by itself, remove the 14-day contractual refund right stated in this policy.

5. How the refund is paid

Virtueplanet Services LLP is the seller for every order, and Stripe processes the payment. We issue an approved refund through Stripe to the original payment method, in the currency of the order.

After we issue the refund, your bank or card issuer normally shows it within 5 to 10 business days. That timing is outside our control. For an order paid in US dollars, currency conversion by your bank can make the refunded amount it displays differ from the amount originally shown on your statement.

For every refund we issue a credit note against the original invoice. For an order in India, the credit note also reverses the GST charged on the refunded amount.

6. Effect of a refund

When a refund of an initial purchase or a renewal is approved:

  • the subscription or licence term for the refunded order ends;
  • the associated DrPlugin licence key and access to official downloads and updates may be disabled;
  • technical support for that order ends; and
  • you must stop representing yourself as entitled to DrPlugin commercial services for that order.

For an order billed in India, a renewal adds a year to the same licence. A refund of a renewal payment therefore ends the licence, including any time left from the previous term.

When only an upgrade charge is refunded, the subscription continues on the plan you had before the upgrade, and its term is unchanged.

Our software is distributed under GPL-2.0-or-later. A refund does not retroactively withdraw GPL rights in a copy that you lawfully received. It does not grant any right to a DrPlugin account, licence key, official update service, support service, trademark, logo, or other brand material.

7. Subscription cancellation is different

Cancelling an automatically renewing subscription (an order billed outside India) prevents the next renewal. It does not automatically refund the current term, and access to updates and support continues until that paid term ends unless a refund is issued.

You can cancel from your DrPlugin account at any time before the renewal date.

An order billed in India does not renew automatically, so there is nothing to cancel. Its licence term ends on its expiry date unless you renew it.

8. Duplicate and incorrect purchases

If you bought the same product twice or selected the wrong plan, contact Email address, shown when JavaScript runs promptly. We can refund the duplicate order or, where available, help change the plan. Do not buy a replacement before contacting us unless the purchase is urgent.

9. Chargebacks

Please contact us before starting a chargeback so we can investigate the payment and, where appropriate, issue a refund. A chargeback does not provide an additional right to keep commercial services for the disputed order. We may suspend the related account services while a payment dispute is open.

This section does not prevent you from exercising a lawful right through your bank or payment provider.
