Overview

TierMint Pro is a WordPress plugin for developers who sell their own plugins, themes and other digital products from their own site. It comes with TierMint, our free plugin, which takes payments with Stripe, issues license keys and runs the update server your plugins check for new versions. Pro adds subscriptions, EU and UK VAT, PDF invoices, PayPal and an affiliate program.

We built it so the store, the license keys and the updates sit on one site you control.

The free plugin and Pro

TierMint is a free plugin, and it runs a store on its own: products with pricing tiers, Stripe payments, orders and refunds, customers, discount codes, license keys, an update server, sales reports and webhooks. You download it with Pro from your DrPlugin account.

TierMint Pro is a second plugin that adds to the free one, so you keep both installed and active.

Common questions

Does TierMint take a cut of my sales?

No. Payments go to your own Stripe or PayPal account, and TierMint adds no fee of its own. You pay your payment provider's usual fees.

What does a renewal cost?

The plan's listed yearly price. There is no separate, higher renewal rate. A launch discount, when one runs, covers the first purchase only.

What happens when my Pro license expires?

Pro keeps working on your sites. Until you renew, you get no updates or support, and your DrPlugin account stops offering the downloads.

Is TierMint a merchant of record?

No. You sell under your own name and file your own VAT returns. On one-time sales, Pro charges VAT at the buyer's rate at checkout, checks EU VAT numbers with VIES and keeps the location evidence for each sale. It exports the quarterly OSS return as a CSV file. Pro adds no VAT to subscription charges, and renewals and plan-change charges carry no tax record, so account for VAT on subscriptions yourself.

Support and updates.

Support runs through your account, and we reply by email. The terms below apply to every licence for this plugin. Per-plan limits, such as how many sites a licence covers, are printed on the plan you select above.

Updates

Your site checks our update server on its own schedule. We verify the licence key and the registered domain, then serve the release. No manual downloads.

Registered sites

Add and remove domains yourself from your account. Moving this plugin from a staging site to production does not need a support ticket.

Installation steps, configuration notes, and every changelog entry for this plugin are public. Read them before you buy, not after.

If a licence lapses

The plugin keeps running on your site. Updates and support stop until you renew. Nothing deactivates itself and nothing switches your site off.

Features

License keys and activations
Each sale issues a key with the tier's activation limit and license length, from a set term to lifetime. Customers activate and deactivate their sites from their account, and local and staging sites do not use a slot.
An update server for your plugins
Upload a release, and sites with a valid license see it on their Plugins screen. Our free update client connects your plugin to your store.
Stripe payments and discounts
Card payments through Stripe, discount codes and automatic sale prices with the old price struck through.
Store pages in your theme
Twenty blocks, five patterns, shortcodes and ten Elementor widgets for the store, product, checkout and account pages.
Subscriptions and plan changes
Make any pricing tier recurring, with an optional free trial. Each renewal extends the same license key. Stripe subscribers can switch plans: an upgrade is prorated, and a downgrade waits for the end of the period.

PayPal next to Stripe at checkout, for one-time sales and subscriptions.
Failed payments and cart recovery
Up to three reminders after a failed renewal, with a 14-day grace period. Up to three emails remind buyers of a checkout they left unpaid, with a link that restores the cart.
EU and UK VAT
VAT at the buyer's rate on one-time sales, VIES checks for EU VAT numbers, reverse charge, stored location evidence and a quarterly OSS export. Pro adds no VAT to subscription charges.
PDF invoices
A numbered invoice for each completed order, attached to the receipt and listed in the customer's account.
Signed, offline and team licenses
License answers your plugin can verify, activation by file for sites with no internet access, and team licenses with a key for each seat, set up through the REST API.
Release channels and staged rollouts
Send beta and release candidate builds only to the sites that ask for them, and roll a release out to a share of sites first.
Analytics
Monthly recurring revenue, churn, customer lifetime value, plan mix and the install base of your plugins, with CSV export.
Affiliate program
Affiliates apply on your site and share a referral link. You approve each commission and pay it through PayPal Payouts or by hand.
Move from another store
Import products, customers, orders, license keys and activations from Easy Digital Downloads 3.x, License Manager for WooCommerce and SureCart. Subscriptions, discount codes and release files are not imported.
